Gil Marine has a long history of innovation that's served the boating industry. And because of our unwavering commitment to engineering leadership, we continue to attract the best minds in the business. Many boat makers see us as the think tank for the industry, constantly coming up with new ways to improve the state of the art. We're proud of our leadership role. And once again, we've met the challenge with Gilbrackets. Gilbrackets move your boat's power to its optimum location: back behind the hull into clean water. At the same time, Gilbrackets also allow you to raise engines to reduce hydro-dynamic drag. The combination of more bite and less drag yields greatly improved performance, better handling, and a more stable ride for your boat. Not to mention the added benefit of having more interior space. Gilbrackets are found on more boats around the world than any other brand, and for good reason. Gil Marine was the first to promote the advantages of outboard brackets, the first to design a bracket that worked like it should. And now, Gil is the first to offer a five-year warranty in this product category. So it's no wonder that to most boaters and boatbuilders, Gilbrackets are the category.
Why Gilbrackets Make Sense.Gilbrackets improve performance, handling, and fuel economy. Quite honestly, it's hard to make a case for not using one.
In addition to its performance advantages, the Gilbracket improves a boat in a very functional way.
Why Gilbrackets Are Better.
The quality of our workmanship is unmatched in the industry. That's what you'd expect from Gil. And that's what you get. Gilbrackets are made of 100% aircraft-quality aluminum alloy; even our inspection plates. And Gilbrackets are finished inside and out with Gilcoat, our proprietary nonconductive surface that goes one step beyond powdercoat. The result is maximum protection against saltwater corrosion. That's why we can offer the industry's first five-year warranty.
Gilbrackets Are Easier To Install.
We didn't stop with making the best outboard brackets. We carefully thought out how to cut installation time - a lot more carefully than our competitors. As a result, it takes 50% less time to install Gilbrackets. With the installation of Gilbrackets, there's no reaching in and around cumbersome areas to get the job done. It's an easy, three-step procedure. You start by mounting the stainless steel studs onto the bracket. Next, drill the transom holes with the template we provide. Finally, simply slide the bracket onto the boat and tighten the nuts from inside the transom. You don't even need a helper to hold the bracket in place.
Gilbrackets Are Made To Fit Your Boat.
Gilbrackets are available to fit all V6 and V8 outboard motors in both single and twin installations. They accommodate all shaft lengths. They fit all transoms with a 12° or greater angle. And they accommodate all steering systems. And there's no better complement to a Gilbracket than a pair of Gil Swim Platforms. They can be mounted in-line with the Gilbracket to give the installation a finished one piece look, or positioned to conform to the specific contour of your boat (unlike other one-size-fits-all products). And the non-skid surface on Gil Swim Platforms is a permanent integral part of the finish, so it will never wear off or peel off. |
